Cryotherapy also known as cold therapy is used to freeze non-cancerous lesions anywhere on the skin. it reduces the blood supply to the lesion, the lesion eventually causes a crust and falls off over 4-6 week leaving new skin behind. The procedure is completely safe when used by a trained Practitioner. If your skin lesion looks suspicious you will be given advice see your GP to advice them further assessment is needed and possible referral to Dermatology.
